Jason has over 25 years of experience outdoors. In addition to enjoying all the outdoor recreational opportunities in the Pittsburgh area, he has enjoyed adventure travel all over the United States. Paddling the whitewater's of the Youghiogheny River in PA, the Nantahala River in NC, the Colorado River through UT, the North Fork of the Platte in MT, and the New River, WV. Jason has experience in lead and top rope climbing as well as bouldering. He has climbed locally at McConnell's Mills, Ohiopyle, Logstown, Coppers Rock and New River. Additionally, he has climbed at Camp 4 and El Capitan in Yosemite NP, Devils Tower in WY, the Shawangunk's in NY, Seneca Rocks, WV, and Joshua Tree NP, CA. Mountain biking in places like Slickrock, UT, Winter Park, Boulder, and Telluride, CO, in the Santa Monica Mountains of CA, Big Mountain in MT, Wilson and Jackson Hole, WY. He has backpacked most of the Appalachian Trail, Wonderland Trail and Pacific Coast Trail. Some other day hiking highlights are the Bright Angel in the Grand Canyon NP, the Narrows in Zion NP, Half Dome in Yosemite, Lamar Valley in Yellowstone NP, the Paintbrush/Cascade Canyon Trail in the Grand Tetons NP, Two Medicine Bow in Glacier NP, Hoh Rainforest in Olympic NP, and The Enchantments in the North Cascades NP. Jason is also a certified Personal Trainer and certified by the American Red Cross in First Aid and Safety, Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction and CPR/AED.
Greg has been enjoying the outdoors since 2003. Having spent time traveling to places like Italy, Ireland, and Costa Rica, he keeps coming back to the United States. Greg has traveled all over the country, including backpacking in places such as Acadia NP, Arches NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Olympic NP, North Cascades NP and Mt. Rainier NP. Greg has explored the backcountry of Arizona, Utah and Colorado, summited Mt. Katahdin and Mt. Marcy, and several of the surrounding High Peaks. In addition, Greg spends much of his time paddling the Class II-IV rapids of the Youghiogheny River. Moving from mountains to cities effortlessly, Greg provides insight to a cities art & culture, including the music and culinary scene. Greg is an expert in adventure travel media production, using expert photography and video, including direction, editing and development, Greg is able to capture the moments that would otherwise not be believed, ending in a highlight film tailored to your adventure. By taking advantage of Greg's expertise, you can leave your camera behind and live in the moment.
“Pitt” received his BS degree in Park and Resource Mgt. from Slippery Rock University. Since then, he has been enjoying the outdoors for over 23 years. He has worked as a Park Ranger in Glacier NP and Great Smoky Mountains NP, as well as visiting several other parks. Jason understands the rules and regulations of the National Park Service, providing a depth of the knowledge for the adventurer. During his time in the Great Smoky National Parks he was a member of the Search and Rescue (SAR) team, became trained as a First Wilderness Responder and in Leave No Trace camping principles and bear management, as well as a skilled orienteer. Jason is an experienced hiker and backpacker, also leading trips in Olympic NP, Glacier NP, Yosemite NP, Yellowstone NP, and the Great Smoky Mountains NP. Jason spends a lot of time on the water and is an experienced paddler (canoe, kayak and raft), having floated on the waters of the Flathead River (MT), French Broad and Pigeon Rivers (TN & NC), the Lehigh River, Youghiogheny River and Pine Creek (PA). Jason has also spent time snowmobiling in the wilds of Montana and Yellowstone NP. In addition to adventure travel, Pittman is an avid dual sport rider, hunter and fisherman.

Day 1, Tuesday, August 3, 2021: Whitewater Rafting – The adventure travel begins at the Lower New River steps up the pace with exciting whitewater rafting and over 25 rapids from Classes II – V. Between the rapids and drops there are pools of calm water where you can catch your breath and gather strength for the next challenge. The Fall trip is typically 11 miles long. The trip includes a jump rock, swimmer’s rapid, and a riverside lunch provided by the NBA staff.
Day 2, Wednesday, August 4, 2021: Climbing – The greater New River Gorge region is one of the East's largest, most diverse, and highest quality climbing areas. Between the three major river gorges- the New, the Gauley/Summersville, and the Meadow- there are over 3,000 established routes on 60+ miles of cliff line, as well as hundreds of established boulder problems. Our two popular sites for this trip are the Bridge Buttress with a view of the New River Gorge Bridge and Beauty Mountain with a view of the New River rapids.
Day 3, Thursday, August 5, 2021: Mountain Biking – Our guided mountain biking tours will put your skills to the test. Challenge your technical skills in some of the most challenging tracks in the outdoors of the Appalachians. We will pedal either the Arrowhead Trails, South Side Junction, or Kaymoor Trail. Depending on the skill level of the group, you can expect to cover around 10-12 miles.

Gratuities for most adventure travel services during your trip (except your Trip Leaders) are included in the price.
Our prices are based on there being two guests per room. This can mean two guests traveling together or two solo travelers (of the same gender) paired as roommates. When occupancy is not double, a room becomes "private," with a private room charge to account for the difference in price.
Since our pricing is based on double occupancy (two people per room), there will be an additional charge if you’re in a room alone.
Once you book an your NBA adventure travel trip, your price is guaranteed.
At this time, because of the detailed itinerary of each trip, we are not able to provide refunds for cancellations of 90 days or less.
We recommend that you purchase the NBA Adventure Travel Protection Plan, which includes benefits designed to cover your travel investment, your belongings and most importantly you while traveling. When we receive your plan payment on or before your final payment due date for your NBA trip, the plan exclusion for pre-existing conditions will be waived provided you are not disabled from travel at the time you make your plan payment. Our Travel Protection Plan provides coverage for trips booked directly with NBA.
Detailed information about starting and ending times and locations, airport and hotel van transfer locations and transportation options are included in the Adventure Travel Planner. If you wish to make airline reservations before receiving your Adventure Travel Planner, please contact your Trip Consultant for times and locations of your trip start and end. NBA does not recommend the purchase of nonrefundable advance-purchase airline tickets until your reservation is confirmed.
Each trip begins and ends in or near a town accessible by plane, train, bus or NBA shuttle as noted in individual trip descriptions. If you wish to drive to the trip start, please see the Adventure Travel Planner or ask a Trip Consultant about parking options.
On all adventure travel trips with hotels, our typical accommodations are double occupancy with a private bath. (Rare exceptions are indicated in individual trip descriptions.) Our camping accommodations are personalized to the trip participants.
Guests are responsible for: understanding their personal levels of fitness and state of health (for assistance, refer to trip descriptions; providing the No Boundaries Adventures office with a signed Release of Liability, Assumption of All Risks and Arbitration Agreement and Personal Information form prior to trip departure (guests will not be permitted to join a trip without this information on file); arriving at the trip start with the clothing and gear recommended in the NBA Adventure Travel Planner; respecting the laws and any rules associated with the adventure travel plan; following environmental guidelines and regulations while on the trip in accordance with leader direction; and respecting the rights and privacy of other trip members. An individual may be asked to leave a trip if the leader feels that the person's continuing participation may prove detrimental to the individual or to the well-being and enjoyment of other guests.
NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES, NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES, INC., its and their employees, shareholders, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, representatives and assigns (collectively NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES) does not own or operate any entity which provides, or is to provide, goods or services for your trip including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, food service or entertainment providers, equipment suppliers, operators of recreational, adventure or other activities (regardless of whether such activities are included as part of the NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES trip itinerary), babysitters or daycare providers, etc. As a result, NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such third person, or of any other third party.
In addition, I acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in the trip designated on this application (or a trip to which I may subsequently transfer). I am voluntarily participating in this trip with the knowledge of the numerous risks and dangers involved including but not limited to: negligence in any manner on the part of NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES including, without limitation, negligence in the conduct or arrangement of the trip in any respect from inception to completion, negligence with regard to bicycle selection or maintenance, the use, installation or maintenance of any optional or add-on equipment such as pedals, odometers, mirrors, bar ends, etc., in the maintenance or operation of any van or other motor vehicle utilized to transport passengers, etc.; acts of God or force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, acts of government, strikes or other labor activities; physical exertion for which I am not prepared; negligent or reckless cycling by the participant or others; inability to properly operate a bicycle; forces of nature; weather conditions; transportation failures or the failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart timely or safely, whether by plane, train, auto, boat, canoe, kayak, bicycle, ski, horseback or other animal, by foot, or by any other conveyance; consumption of alcoholic beverages; risks associated with food or impure water; terrorism or the threat thereof; criminal activity; bites from or dangers associated with wild or other animals, pests or insects; negligence or willful misconduct by third parties; breakdown or failure of bicycles or other equipment; financial default of any supplier; high altitude; accident or illness without access to means of rapid evacuation or availability of medical supplies or services; the adequacy of medical attention once provided; epidemics or the threat thereof; stolen, lost, or misplaced luggage or property; and theft or break-ins into vans, lodging rooms or elsewhere. I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure travel is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation. I HEREBY AGREE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN WELFARE AND ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS OF DELAY, UNANTICIPATED EVENTS, INCONVENIENCE, ILLNESS, INJURY, EMOTIONAL TRAUMA OR DEATH.
I acknowledge that the cost of all NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES trips is based upon trip participants executing this Release of Liability, Assumption of All Risks, and Binding Arbitration Agreement. I agree that this Agreement shall be legally binding upon me personally, all members of my family and all minors traveling with me, my and their heirs, successors, assigns, and legal representatives, it being my intention fully to assume all the risks associated with this trip and to release NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES from any and all liability to the maximum extent permitted by law.
MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS: I understand that NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of its trips and hereby agree that NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES may use any such photographic or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes, as well as approve such use by third parties with whom NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES may engage in joint marketing, without any remuneration to me. I hereby assign all right, title, and interest I may have in or to any and all media in which my name or likeness might be used by NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES.
I agree to follow all written and verbal rules of safety presented to me by NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES. I understand that NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES reserves the right to refuse as a trip participant, or remove from a trip, without refund, any person it judges to be incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of participating in the activities, or who is abusive to other trip participants, leaders or third parties, or who it determines to detract from the enjoyment of the trip by others. NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES reserves the right to make route, hotel, itinerary and trip modifications as required or desirable to improve the trip quality and/or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of guests.
BINDING ARBITRATION: I agree that any dispute concerning, relating or referring to this Agreement, the brochure or any other literature concerning my trip, or the trip itself, shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. §§ 1-16, either according to the then existing Commercial Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or pursuant to the Comprehensive Arbitration Rules & Procedures of the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc. (JAMS). Such proceedings will be governed by substantive (but not procedural) Pennsylvania law without consideration of the Pennsylvania Arbitration Act and will take place in Pittsburgh, PA. Except for trips in Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code will be inapplicable to my trip or any claim arising therefrom. The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this Agreement, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this Agreement is void or voidable. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, I, as well NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES, waive our right to a trial by jury.
KNOWING & VOLUNTARY EXECUTION: I have carefully read and fully understand the contents and legal ramifications of this Agreement as well as all the conditions as stated in the IMPORTANT INFORMATION section of the current NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES brochures, including but not limited to, those regarding cancellation and refund policies. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including but not limited to, weather, terrorism, civil unrest, personal, family or medical emergencies. I understand that this is a legally binding and enforceable contract and sign it of my own free will. I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
This contract is accepted by NO BOUNDARIES ADVENTURES in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and cannot be changed in an oral communication. We can only accept one signature per form.
